Why buy a Brolly Sheet?

Why is cotton so important?    

If it's not cotton, it's not comfortable. Many competitors list a 'soft sleep surface' — that means polyester. Cotton is natural, breathable, and far better for a child's skin overnight. Polyester traps heat, causes sweating, and isn't as kind to the environment. If a product doesn't specifically say cotton, assume it's polyester.  

How do I use a Brolly Sheet? 

Place the Brolly Sheet on top of your fitted bottom sheet, quilted side up. Tuck the wings under the mattress on each side to hold it in place. The child or adult sleeps directly on the cotton surface. When wet, pull it off, replace with a fresh one. Done. A King Single Brolly Sheet fits both a single and king single bed. 

How do I wash my Brolly Sheet?

Cold or warm machine wash with like colours. Line dry or tumble dry on a low heat — too much heat will damage the waterproof backing. No bleach, fabric softeners, ironing, or dry cleaning. Wash before first use to soften the fabric and improve absorbency. Having two on rotation means you're never caught short. 

Is a Brolly Sheet suitable for adults?

Yes. They hold up to 2 litres and come in Double, Queen, and King sizes, making them suitable for adults managing incontinence, recovering from surgery, or anyone who wants mattress protection without the crinkle and discomfort of a plastic-backed protector.

How long do Brolly Sheets last?

We offer a 12-month warranty, but they last considerably longer with proper care. Many customers have used the same Brolly Sheets across multiple children over several years. How long they last depends on wash frequency and drying — low heat and line drying extend their life significantly.

What sizes do Brolly Sheets come in?    

Single (95×95cm), King Single (110×95cm), Double (137×95cm), Queen (155×95cm), and King (200×95cm). The King Single fits both single and king single beds — if your child is between sizes or you want flexibility, size up. 

Are Brolly Sheets safe and non-toxic?

Yes. The waterproof backing is made from polyester-backed polyurethane (PUL) — not PVC or vinyl, which can emit harmful toxins. Brolly Sheets are third-party tested and Green Leaf certified as environmentally sustainable and non-toxic.

Who designed the Brolly Sheet?

Diane, the company's founder, designed the original Brolly Sheet in 2005 for her eldest child. She needed a way to get through a wet night without a full bed strip. Friends started asking her to make them one. She started selling at Sydney markets in 2006 and built it from there.

What is behind the name?

A brolly is slang for an umbrella — something that protects what's underneath from getting wet. That's exactly what a Brolly Sheet does for your mattress.
