Why buy a Billy Bed Cover?

Because dog beds get grubby fast. Your best friend coming home from walking in the rain or a swim and going to his bed.  The Billy Bed Cover has a waterproof lining that stops accidents, drool, and moisture soaking through to the inner — so the bed stays clean and, crucially, smell-free. When it needs a wash, just unzip and throw it in the machine. Simple.

Can I use the Billy Bed Cover without a proper bed inner?

Yes. Just stuff the cover with old blankets, towels, duvets or clothing and you've got an instant dog bed. It's a great way to repurpose worn-out linen while giving your dog somewhere comfortable to sleep.

How do I wash my Billy Bed Cover?

Unzip and remove the inner. Cold or warm machine wash separately. Warm tumble dry. Do not soak, bleach, iron, or dry-clean. Having a spare cover means you always have one ready while the other dries.

Is the Billy Bed Cover waterproof?

Yes — the inner lining is the same waterproof PUL fabric used in our Brolly Sheets bedding range. It stops liquid soaking through to whatever's inside, which is what keeps the smell from building up over time.

How long will my Billy Bed Cover last?

With regular washing and normal use, the covers are built to last. Several customers have had theirs for years. Check the zip and seams periodically, and replace if any wear is visible.

What size Billy Bed Cover do I need?

Small (55×65cm) suits smaller breeds, Medium (70×90cm) fits most medium dogs, and Large (70×125cm) suits larger breeds or dogs who like to stretch out. If in doubt, size up — dogs tend to prefer more space.

Why does the colour I choose matter?

Lighter colours like Beige show fur more easily but suit light-coloured interiors. Darker shades like Dark Brown and Navy hide mud and outdoor mess better, and blend well with darker home interiors. Pick what works for your dog's habits and your home.

She hated the manky dog bed smell after walks in the rain and didn’t like the thought f throwing the bed out as it couldn’t be washed.  So, using our Brolly Sheet waterporoof fabric, she came up with The Billy Bed. Diane first started selling to local Sydney markets in 2006 and she hasn't looked back.
